I just discovered how much money can be saved with coupons about 5 weeks ago, and have definitely cut our grocery/drugstore bill in 1/2. Also, I buy gift cards to our local HyVee and Walgreens through the Scrip program at my daughter's cheerleading gym. I get 4% back for her monthly tuition on the HyVee cards, and 6% back on Walgreens!!!! So I feel like I'm really making money twice by doing that:)

To save money this summer I am just not buying anything. I know that sounds simple and not much fun but I don't buy anything so I can save money for family Birthdays and Christmas. It is like this every year!

I have been cutting down on car trips. Instead of driving across town to the pool we have the inflatable pool for the kids set up in the yard. They have just as much fun!

We also go for lots of bike rides as a free activity!

Thank you for the giveaway!

my family and i are saving money by riding our bikes instead of driving (within 1 mile from our home) and another biggie and first time for us: growing our own food. we've been bit by the gardening bug, and it actually has cut our grocery bill considerably.

great blog you have here! i love mary kay!

I'm saving money by learning to become more frugal by using coupons. I'm building a stockpile of items I regularly use.

I just love Satin Hands...I'm a florist and so I have rough hands and that stuff is the best! This summer I am trying to stay in and not do so much. I'm even shipping my child off to the Grandparents so as to cut down on costs...that and I snatch a sandwich from my parents house when I can!

Congrats on your first giveaway!!! I'm having my first too later today!! To save money this summer, I worked extra!! I usually have the whole summer off but this year, thanks to food and gas being so darn high, I taught summer school (yuck, gag, barf).

I'm saving money by using coupons and only buying during sale or deals

I just started using coupons, which saves on the grocery bill. But the biggest savings is going to town only once a week. We go to the library, visit friends, and grocery shop all on the same day.

I just started using coupons and building a stockpile. I am definately saving money at the grocery store. Plus instead of running a lot this summer we are doing fun stuff at home.

I am having Quaker Oatmeal for breakfast at work each day, allowing me to save the $4.00 I would have spent buying a sandwich or meal at a convenience store or McDonalds, etc. This is also going to help me eat healthier and improve my cholesterol. I can use the money I save over the summer to pay for a gym membership in the winter so I can stay healthy then too, or I can use it to pay other bills (like the increasing cost of gas for my car).

I just stopped working, as I've got a baby due any time now, and I'm doing all I can to save the money my hubby is pulling in. Everything from buying groceries on sale/with coupons to using low wattage light bulbs to keeping the windows/shutters closed to block out the summer heat and use the air conditioning less. And we just sold one car, so that's a HUGE savings. Public transit is so much less expensive than a car payment and gas prices these days!

I've been going out to eat lunch with my husband instead of dinner. Lunch usually cost 2/3 to 1/2 as much and are the same fabulous dishes! Plus, no wait!

I just recently stated CVS'ing- what an amazing thing!!

I have really cut back on our grocery bill...we typically would spend about 350.00 every two weeks for a family of 5, large dog, 5 cats. I've cut it back to about 250.00 just doing simple things like not buying Tide or the expensive brands.

I don't really have any new ideas that haven't already been listed. Just coupons, trying to cut down on our driving and not eating out. Boring stuff! hair4myprincess.blogspot.com

Great giveaway! I just love Mary Kay.
As for saving money this summer, I am doing just like everyone else--clipping coupons, staying home more, driving less, etc.

I save money by shopping at Aldis a nice cheap grocery store. I also try and buy things at yard sales. A lot of my contest winnings I use as gifts for birthday and Christmas for my family members.

I take the bus to work and pack my lunch every day. What with parking, gas, and eating out, so much of my money was going down the drain!
