How Fun it is to be a BzzAgent!!!

I have told you before how much I love being a BzzAgent, and it just keeps getting better! I wanted to share with you what I've been Bzzing about for the last couple weeks. It's the new Pledge Fabric Sweeper for pet hair. Now, you can trust me on this issue, I am the proud owner of 7 dogs. Inside dogs in fact, I have 2 labs, 2 German shorthairs, 1 beagle, 1 scottie, and a mutt that we dearly love=) So, as you can imagine, this is a problem I constantly battle. Especially now that spring has sprung & they are in full shedding mode.
Well, I received my Bzz Kit in the mail & could not wait to try it. Looking at it, my hopes were not too high, because there really is not a lot to look at, a couple gray roller thingy's at the bottom & a clear handle / collection area. So, I read the directions on how to "sweep" my couch & went to town on both my couches. I was really impressed with how easy & effective this fabric sweeper was. You hold it at the top, move it side to side in little strokes & the hair is gone. Gone! Both kids were watching me & the next thing I heard was, let me try, let me try! Ok, here ya go. It's so easy, and it really does work.

I have a few coupons left, so if you would like me to send you one, comment here (first 3, sorry) and make sure I have a way to get in touch with you, and I'd be happy to send you one!

Also, get in on the Bzzing yourself, go on over to BzzAgent & get signed up, there is no telling what they may have you Bzzing!

Tipster Tuesday

Today I want to share with you one of my time saving cleaning tips. I was in the store a while back looking around at all the cool cleaning gadgets they had on the shelf. They had all sorts of pretty gloves, sponges, wipes for 100 different things (ok, well maybe 99). I saw one that really caught my eye though, a battery operated oscillating scrubber! It was gray & orange but I don't recall the brand name, I just remember thinking, that is a bigger, more expensive version of my FREE (after sales & coupons) power toothbrushes!

All of you CVS'ers I'm sure have a few extra power toothbrushes in your stockpile. So, what I suggest you do with one of them, is to put it with your cleaning supplies. I have used mine for everything and they work like a charm at getting dirt out of super small places. I love to use it on the tile grout, it gets really dingy, especially after the rain, with the doggies coming in & out. Now, I wont tackle the entire floor with my toothbrush, but for maintenance & touch-ups, it's perfect. It's also great for detailed cleaning jobs, like the dishwasher & oven dials, or around sink handles.

Hope that helps!

Growing Pains

Well, I guess the inevitable is upon us. By that, I mean Puberty. AGHHHHHHHHHH!!! My oldest son is 11, he'll be 12 in a couple months. It seems impossible that he's going to be 12! I know you moms know what I'm talking about, he's supposed to be my little baby still.

Earlier this month, their school had their 6th grade sex ed program for the students & I was fine with that because they push abstinence. One thing that was a little strange to me was they had the boys & girls in the same class. I always remember being separated into groups. Anyway, at the end of the week long class, my husband sat down with him & had "The Talk". My insides were just in knots over the whole thing. I guarantee you that I had a harder time with it than either of them did. But, it is for sure something that he needs to know about & be educated about the right way, instead of learning things from other kids in school.

So, that was done & I settled down, but a couple days later he was complaining about his right heel hurting. I had just bought him a new pair of shoes & figured he just needed to break them in & get used to them, but it didn't go away & just continued to get worse. To the point that he was walking on the ball of his foot to avoid putting pressure on his heel. Well, yesterday I took him to the doctor & he said that my son has Sever's disease. Which is not really a disease at all, it is pain in the heel caused by the bone growing faster than the muscles & tendons in the foot. He said that it's pretty common in boys from 10-13. The words that hit me like a lightning bolt though was "When Puberty Begins..." Oh no, it's beginning??? Yep. So he went on to tell me to give him Advil & get him some good supportive shoes with heel inserts for added padding. That eventually, his bones & muscles would catch up to each other on their own with time.

Is it just me, do moms usually freak out when this starts? He is my first born, maybe it will be easier the next time, I don't know. I am new to all of this. Prayer will help I know, and with time maybe I'll get better.
