As I posted on Idina's "I Stand" facebook page:
I stand for keeping on living.
There's a lot things in my past that I've never been able to talk openly about but the friends I've made because of Idina and her work have become so close and open with me that it almost feels okay to finally speak about them.
I was never very popular when i was younger, I was the type of kid who was always the loner, never really invited out. For some reason, I was just never accepted. The fact that I was studying dance outside of school and loved just made it so much worse and I learned to grow up hiding a huge part of myself from the world.
I also was in a relatively hostile household and I've tried running away so many times. I've spent far too many nights drinking alone trying to escape everything around me. I've thought about killing myself and come close, but there's always been something unexplainable that's stopped me.
Throughout high school, I fell further into it all and got into drugs as well as a relatively serious eating disorder where I would go for days without eating anything. I did it because I never felt quite good enough for anyone or anything, and there was that voice in the back of my mind always telling me that physicalities were holding me back in life. I always thought if I was a bit thinner, if I could look a bit more toned, I'd finally get somewhere and build the friendships and relationships I wanted. I think it's so important to talk about how those things can affect guys too, because there's really not a whole lot of places to turn.
I stand for keeping on living and getting through the tough times in life. You never know how much brighter things are on the other side.
I stand for protecting the environment! Reduce, reuse, recycle.

I stand for loving your kids unconditionally, I stand for loving and standing beside my husband; not ahead or behind him and most of all...I stand for standing for what's right at all costs.
